I have upgraded to WordPress 2.5. Not too much new stuff for the viewers of this site, but lots of neat stuff on the admin panel. My hopes are now that the work on the admin panel is done, WordPress will turn to the reader's experience next. To celebrate the new version, I also came up with a new design for the site. There is still a little CSS tinkering to be done, but in general it is ready to go. Take it for a spin and let me know what you think.

I really like the new design! Derrick hit the nail on the head with his comments on the color scheme - it really works for me.
The comments layout looks a bit awkward for me, with the thin white border around your comment being the crux of the issue. Maybe if you constrict that border? Lessen the padding a bit mayhaps?
The comments were the other thing I need to work on with the CSS. I think the idea behind the border is a way to show that the owner of the site posted.
A note about the colors, I used the strategy here that I have been using for the last couple of designs. If you see the banner picture, all of the colors on the site come from that. If you have a good picture with good colors, use that as your color scheme.
A nice idea, overall. Color schemes are hard for me, by and large because I'm colorblind for every color combination imaginable. But I get by.
I do like the idea of the border to show that the owner of the site has commented. I've wanted to implement something like that in the past.
