My Wishlist

Monday, June 26th, 2006

After experimenting with Gifttagging.com and a number of other sites, I have decided to use the built-in Amazon wishlist for now. Nothing else seems to work as easily as it and now I have a nicely organized wishlist for myself, either when I have some extra money or if someone wants to buy me something. I am going to add a link on the main page but if you don’t want to wait, here is my Amazon wishlist.

Wishlist Wishes

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

In addition to the MizCD stuff, I have been trying to find a nice wishlist application on the web, either hosted locally or a web service. I have tried out GreedyMe, which is pretty nice, especially for importing things from Amazon, however there is no way to mark something as received and they are “experimenting” with automatic tagging that doesn’t quite work right. I also looked at the myGifts sourceforge program, but Chris (he is using Typo for his blog, so it might not load right) told me that it doesn’t have a public view, so that is teh suck. I then found a random blog entry with the same concerns I had, but there doesn’t appear to be a resolution there either. So I ask for opinions and suggestions from the peanut gallery, has anyone found a good wishlist solution yet?
