9. Okkervil River - The Stage Names

Okkervil River has created a folksy, indie album that succeeds on almost all levels. The songs are all varied enough that it keeps your interest through the album and after 42 minutes you feel pretty much complete. And that is one of the drawbacks of the album, it is done a little too quick for my liking.

However, there are no bad tracks and there are some standouts, such as Unless It Kicks and Plus Ones. A Girl in Port is the longer story of a song, but is also good. I can’t say anything bad about this album other than it is a bit short and there is no track that really stands out.
