Once again, I am moving. I decided to link back to the post from two years ago when I moved out of my previous apartment. This time I am not hungover, there is no rain around and I am getting a pickup truck in a couple of hours. One other thing I was thinking about with the move. I just realized that last time Mediacom setup my connection, I was using Pheonix/Firebird/Firefox at the time. This means that I have been using that browser for over two years. How time flies.

Moving is teh suck
See, I am writing more already. This is just an update on my move, I am officially moving out of my 350 sq. ft. efficency which has been my home for two years on Sunday and moving into a 800 sq. ft. 2 bd apartment on Monday. For those of you who visited my apartment over the two years, you know that I havn't had much space, but I did make the best of it. I will miss the scenery and ability to grill at my current place, however I won't miss the break-in, the mold in the bathroom, the cramped space, the small fridge and oven and limited counter space.
Also involved with the move is an upgrade of furniture. I am getting rid of my entertainment center, futon, computer desk, computer chair and a couple of other things. A recent trip to Ikea in Chicago has replaced the entertainment center and computer desk with better, more efficient designs. I also am having a couch, chair and dining room set delivered Monday as well, so no more sitting on the single bar holding up the futon anymore. I am quite excited for the move to be done now, hopefully I will have a happy tale to write on Tuesday after I get my Internet hooked up.

Albums Entered
Ah my blog, how I have ignored you, all because some CD project came along and took up most of my computer free time over the last couple of weeks. Well luckily the CDs have all been entered now, so I will now spend some time tweaking the program, testing new installs and then offering up the package. I think I have also decided on a name for the software, MizCD Collection. I think the play on words works nicely and sounds better than PHP CD Collection. In the meantime, I will attempt to post here more often as well, giving updates about the move and other tech stuff.

I Live
Just a quick note to show that I am still alive and that I have not forgotten about the site. I have been in the process of adding CDs to my collection to see how that process goes. I know I promised a zip file release, and while I really want to do that, I am thinking that I should iron out some stuff first. There is nothing more frustrating than getting something that is half done, and that is what I feel like this is. It is useable for me, but I want to make it easy to use for everyone. I also want to add all of my CDs before I move on August 1, so I am focusing on that first, then fine tuning the software after.
I have also been spending time looking at ikea.com for furniture for my new place. I have a list of stuff I need, so I am hoping to get rooms somewhat coordinated with stuff at Ikea, without going broke. Ah, the pleasures of growing up.
