  • The Internet Wayback Machine

Well, for the first time I have used it, the Wayback Machine actually worked for me. I was able to find the old Glenbard North Current web site back from 97 when I helped contribute the occasional music review. Click here to get to the main site and take a look at the entertainment sections to find out why I didn't take the AP English exam.

  • New Content Forthcoming

Well, since I havn't had any brilliant ideas for new content modules recently, and since TCW seems to be lacking in new modules all around, I have decided to step up to the plate and stoop down to creating a Top 25 CD's I Own list. You can find the list I chose from on the MyTungsten CD List. I will be posting my personal feelings/reviews about each CD and hopefully a little prettiness as well. Here are 5 albums that made the list, in no particular order:

    Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
Braid - The Age of Octeen
Dan the Automator - Wanna Buy a Monkey?
    Dr. Dre - The Chronic
    Deftones - White Pony

Check back later this evening for the first part of the list.

  • Content Hissy Fit

In an effort to make an ordinary Friday afternoon annoying, a number of Content Webring members attempted to hijack the 3 people who check out www.thecontentwebring.com by creating www.tehcontentwebring.com and using the original site and putting some frames around it. After consulting some law sites, I found that framing another site is copyright infringement, and to protect my interests, I have prevented my site from being framed.

Also, in an effort to keep www.thecontentwebring.com safe for users 3-80, I have chosen to remove the description field from the RSS feeds. Much like the guy who pissed all over the gas station restroom so now you have to buy something to use it, a member of the ring had to ruin it for everyone.

  • Some good news for today

When I was scanning a friend's blog, I noticed that he had posted some news about Stephen King finishing the Dark Tower series. Having anticipated this as much as most people who have read the first 4, I did not believe it at first. After hitting up news.google, I found that the 5th book has been released, and the final two are expected next year. Brew-ya indeed.

  • Content Conference 2003

    0

This year's version of the Content Conference was held on Monday, November 3. The major topic of discussion was the arrangement of the RSS feeds on thecontentwebring.com. Due to the recent addition of the .Frank to the blogging and RSS world, there was much commotion about how much space Asstastic was using and the location of the Oculon feed. So the impromptu conference was opened. Minutes of the conference can be found here.

All in all, a peaceful resolution to the matter was found and the updated thecontentwebring.com is up and running. The Content Webring would like to thank fbroz for keeping the minutes of the conference.
